Texas officials are searching for former MLB pitcher Greg Swindell’s daughter, who went missing on Thursday.
The Austin Police Department Missing Persons Unit is requesting the public’s help in finding 29-year-old Brenna Swindell, whose father spent 17 years in the MLB playing for multiple teams, including the Cleveland Guardians, Houston Astros and Minnesota Twins.
Brenda Swindell was last seen at Poodies Hilltop Bar at 22308 State Hwy 71 in Spicewood, Texas, according to a police press release. She was with her ex-boyfriend, Morgan Guidry. The two have not been seen since around 10:20 p.m. that night and their phones were turned off the next day.
“Ms. Swindell has not been in usual contact with her family and friends. APD is concerned about her safety and immediate welfare,” the Austin Police Department said.
Brenna Swindell is described as a white female with brown hair, hazel eyes and tattoos on both arms. She is around 5-foot 4 inches tall and weighs between 120 to 140 pounds.
She could possibly be in a white 2022 Kia Carnival with Texas license plate VFS 7528, according to officials. The vehicle was possibly seen in the Colorado Springs or Denver areas.
The van belongs to Brenna Swindell, according to a missing poster. The vehicle tags were reportedly seen on Interstate 25 in Colorado on Friday evening. The van and Guidry were potentially spotted in Colorado Springs on Sunday.
Brenna Swindell is a single mother of three.
Brenna’s mother, Sarah Swindell, said it is unlike her to leave without any explanation.
“Again, her boyfriend is in trouble with law from when he assaulted her last month and we don’t know if she went with him willingly, was talked into running away with him, or what,” Sarah Swindell said on Facebook. “I still feel she would never abandon her 3 children or just take off without explanation. So until we can prove otherwise, we feel she is in danger.”
Sarah Swindell said she has been in contact with Guidry’s father.
“He is being helpful and we are working together to keep each other in the loop,” she said.
She also said they have received multiple leads and they are looking into them.
Greg Swindell also told people in Idaho to be on the lookout on Facebook on Monday.
Anyone with information is being asked to contact the Austin Police Department Missing Persons Unit at 512-974-5250.
